Impact-Roofing has helped many Allstate customers with their home-insurance claims. It’s our mission to ensure every Allstate customer is taken care of. Therefore, it’s best practice to reach out to us at Impact Roofing and Construction before filing a claim. You will have your own Insurance Claims Specialist from our team who will assist you through the claims process. Our Claims Specialist will help you make the first phone call, being present at the inspection(s), and working on the restoration project. To gain a better idea of the claims process in action, we have included an example below. If you have questions, please reach out to an Impact Roofing Claims Specialist seven days per week by calling (703) 309-0749.

  1. Is there any damage on the outside of your home?
If so, you may be able to file a claim. However, a thorough inspection is necessary, which would present one of the few outcomes below:
  • No Payout can occur if there is not enough damage to cover the deductible or if the incorrect “date of loss” is documented. Click here to learn more.
  • Half Payout usually occurs when repairs are deemed necessary. Repairs take place when your insurance company decides not to replace any large exterior items, like the roof, solar panels, gutters, or siding. Whether or not an exterior component should just be repaired is merely an insurance company’s opinion. Because we know that this part of the process is very subjective, it is our goal at Impact Roofing to minimize the possibility of a “no” or “half” payout. In order to succeed at this, we must be a part of the claims process from the very beginning. We will take photos when performing a pre-qualifying inspection, and we will document supporting evidence to include with the photos when presenting your case at the upcoming Allstate insurance inspection.
  • Full Replacement occurs when Allstate Insurance determines that all damaged items must be completely replaced. For example, you may have the roof, solar panels, gutters or siding totally replaced.

Every pre-qualifying home insurance claim inspection performed by Impact Roofing is free of charge. Let our Claims Specialists help you see what you’re taking on before involving the insurance company.

  1. Take action to make the initial claim, either online or over the phone.
When contacting Allstate Insurance, you will be asked a few questions. One question in particular is in reference to the date the damage occurred, but there is no way to be certain. Giving the wrong date may cause the timeline to fall under previous hail or wind damage. This could result in no payout of small repairs, although your home may actually qualify for a full replacement. Allstate will request updated contact information, along with additional information. They will inquire whether an initial inspection was performed; they will also want to know the name of your Insurance Specialist and his/her contact information.
  1. Allstate Insurance inspection of your home:
Impact Roofing will represent and support you through this process by being your eyes and ears. We will climb on the roof and crawl in the attic with the specialist.
  2. Writing the Estimate:
When the inspection is complete, Allstate Insurance will decide whether you will receive any payout for the damages. This decision is relayed in the form of either an estimate or a denial letter. An estimate would outline either a full replacement or small repairs. Impact Roofing will review Allstate’s decision on payout to ensure that it is precise. The prices for estimates are typically established by insurance companies through usage of estimating software named Xactimate. Because most companies use this software, the prices are standardized. Standardized pricing simplifies this part of the process due to no overcharging from contractors and more uniform payouts by insurance companies. However, the labor and materials prices are determined by the homeowner’s zip code.
